M. Bruce Chernoff, P.Eng.
Mr. Chernoff is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University and has over 25 years of experience as founder, financier and builder of energy companies. Mr. Chernoff has been the President of Caribou Capital Corp., a private investment company, since 1999. Mr. Chernoff was Chairman and Founder of Harvest Energy Trust, which grew to 64,000 boe/d and was sold to the Korean National Oil Company in 2009 for $4.1 billion. Mr. Chernoff is the Chairman of Maxim Power Corp. and serves as a director of several public and private entities.
Jacob Roorda, P. Eng.
Mr. Roorda is a Professional Engineer and has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Roorda is currently the Managing Director of Windward Capital Limited, a private investment company. He was formerly the EVP for Todd Energy International, the Vice Chairman for Canoe Financial Corp., the President and VP Corporate for Harvest Energy, VP Corporate and Director for PrimeWest Energy, Inc., Director for Northcliff Resources Ltd., and Managing Director for Research Capital Corporation.
Mr. Pittman has over 15 years of senior financial management, commercial and investment banking experience. Most recently, Mr. Pittman served as the Chief Financial Officer of Chaparral Energy, an exploration and production company focused on Mid-Continent oil & gas exploration. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President-Finance at two other production companies, and as a Vice President in commercial and investment banking at J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. for nine years. Prior to entering the energy industry, Mr. Pittman served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Pittman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
Mr. Kessy has 38 years of upstream and midstream industry experience throughout the major North American oil and gas producing basins. Prior to joining PetroShale, Mr. Kessy was COO of a large Canadian Montney producer. Prior thereto, he was VP, Marcellus Business Unit, for a major international integrated producer, having also held management responsibilities for several western Canadian oil producing assets. Mr. Kessy has a BSc (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Saskatchewan and is a registered professional engineer with APEGA.
Mr. Izzo has more than 30 years of combined engineering, operations and management experience in the oil and gas industry. He brings a strong technical background with specific expertise in the evaluation, acquisition and operation of oil and gas properties. Mr. Izzo has been involved in the start-up of new oil and gas entities as well as serving in senior technical and management positions in a number of junior and large oil and gas companies.
Mr. Pallone has more than 15 years of oil and gas experience, including 10 years of land experience in North Dakota. Prior to joining PetroShale, Mr. Pallone served as Senior Landman for Kodiak Oil & Gas (USA) Corp., and before that worked in various positions in the oil and gas sector for more than a decade, including as Manager of Acquisitions and Divestments at Petrogulf Corp., a private oil and gas exploration and production company. Mr. Pallone has a M.S. in Global Energy Management from the University of Colorado, and a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. Mr. Pallone has held various committee roles with the Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Mr. Haskins joined PetroShale in October 2012 and is a key member of our acquisitions team. Mr. Haskins holds a M.S. in Finance from the University of Denver and a B.A. in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College.
Mr. Sprinkle formerly served as Controller at Carbon Energy Corporation, Controller and Treasurer for Crescent Point Energy US, and Assistant Controller at Antero Resources Corporation. Mr. Sprinkle has over ten years of experience in the upstream oil and gas sector and previously worked in public accounting with KPMG as well as a regional accounting firm for ten years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from Colorado State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mrs. Morahan brings over ten years of regulatory and compliance experience with the upstream oil and gas industry and previously served as the Regulatory Team Lead for Crescent Point Energy. With strong knowledge of policy and regulations, Mrs. Morahan is skilled at navigating the rigorous Federal, State and Tribal regulatory framework and implementing best management practices and innovative solutions to reduce environmental impact and ensure compliance throughout the lifecycle of a well. She holds a B.A. in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California and is an active member in numerous industry trade organizations and professional societies
